Its been a looong time =)

Fri May 20, 2005, 4:12 PM
Howdy Ho DevART, far out.. I haven't published a journal on here since my 18th b'day =) How exciting.. it is saturday the 21st of march, and I am vurryy bored.. so, AN UPDATE on the life of teh bAIDS.

...well, after my b'day last year I came back from Brisbane to my little homeliness of Bathurst, and then to sydney for x-mas blah blah.. didn't really do anything but work at Domino's to try and scrape together nexttonothing to try and help with the bond payment for my place I'd eventually find in Sydney.
I did eventually find a place in sydney, with my current mates who are flat, in Glebe, Sydney =D Our house is like.. a couple of minutes walk from Central, Darling Harbour, Newtown and the like.. its ever so lovely =)
I had to find a job, so I ended up working at the local subway for a good six weeks or so, until it all ended in a big pile of smelly communication breakdown =) Which I don't mind now, 'cos the manager was a fuckhead.
Anywho, so since then.. which was, like.. march 23rd? I think I've been looking for a job to no avail. S'pretty hard to land a job in sydney.
But besides general living, there is UNI =D Which, I must say.. is pretty fucking shmick =) I started at JMC on march 7th, and yeah.. still there =P The coolest course in the world, Audio Engineering, I swear.. I would've done performance, except I'm not rich enough to afford the course fee's AND rent + plus living expenses AND lovely super duper instruments. All the performance students have swanky instruments, but the majority of them suck teh cockage =( I don't like to say that sorta thing about muso's, you really shouldn't - muso's are delicate creatures ego wise =P But they really do suck, and I'm so jealous that I can't have all their pretty shiny new instruments =( But that is okay, though.. as I have cool hair and am absolutely fabulous ^^;;
STAR WARS. If you haven't seen it, you must. NOW. I thought it was one of the teh most cheesy movies i have ever seen, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" But yesm, t'was. Still, you HAVE to go and see it simply because its star wars. Pure and Simple, you MUST. you will. you bastard.
In the music department of teh bAIDS I feel somewhat drained =( I haven't really had a jam as such with groovy cats since the HSC last year, with all my Bx High chums, and the horde's that were a part of my ensemblajj for all my pieces.. which is sad, I do so miss my lovely improv's =( So if you're reading this, and you love me, and wish for music. RING ME. lah
It's super coooool that I have access to multi-million dollar studio's though heh =P I can just rock up at any old time (literally) and lay down a few tracks, chuck 'em onto tape or pro tools and engineer away! I haven't recorded all that much, as we're in the process of competency tests in the studio's, so yeah.. trying to focus on getting through my course over bludging (but creating loveliness nonetheless). Speaking of my course, I have a 98% Average in all my exams =) Clearly I am TEH WINNAH. Winnah teh pooh, as it were.
Well, I'm off.. I think i might drive down to spotlight (discounts 'cos sister works there) and buy some crafty bits for my hogwarts scarves I'm about to start today!! =D W0000TAGE.. I am in bathurst atm, yesm. I often come home every weekend, as I am too poor and lonely. And quite often vurry hungry =( Poory bAIDS.
Anywho, much love to you all =)

ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Hoo-very-yay for me! Its my 18th b'day and I am oh so happy =) LOVE TO YOU ALL =)

My First <proper>Album ^^

Wed Jun 2, 2004, 11:05 PM
Well.. today is the first day of my album ^^ I've been brainstorming about it for quite a while now.. Its a pretty odd one =D I've been trying to put what I've got so far into a genre, and my music teacher and I've decided that it is "Ethnic Metal" or something like that. See, my major influences (Especially the last year or so) have been very Metal Orientated, but nearly as strongly as that influence I also have the Classical Indian stuff on board too.. pretty weird mix when you think about it =P And for the past 12 years there's also the blues and classical guitar training I've had..
...basically I'm just trying to put everything I know into this album, stupid as it may be to try.. I'm just exploding with idea's lately and I'm worried if I don't do something with it all It wont come back, if you get me...feeling very inspired and stuff =)
On board helping me along I have a sick drummer (esp. good at double-kick.. essential for me ;)), a verrrryy sick bassist, 5 singers:
- Two for clean vocals, and harmonies.
- Three others for all the Arrggh's and such (me included).. I'm only going to end up one of 'em, and it wont be me, as I can't hold it for very long.
Ummm... I've also got a string quartet and pianist at my disposal, and two other guitarists if needed. I recently met an AMAZING guy who plays Flamenco guitar, but I've still gotta ask him if he wants to help out. His style of Guitar and my Classical Indian stuff is pretty similar when you get down to the roots of the stuff (modal), so it would go very well. Also, we played Sitar and Flamenco together the other day and it was FUCKING AMAZING!!! So hopefully he'll be able to help out =)
I'll be using the Bx High recording studio as much as I can.. or rather as much as I'm allowed to. I'll be playing Sitar, Tabla, Guitar and probably Djembe if I can get one soon.. I need to get a job!!! Djembe's aren't aaaall that expensive, but I want to get a half-decent one.. especially if I'm recording. So a few hundred wont go amiss.
OMG I just though of another instrument to add to my album =D Didjeridu!... *thinks*.. hmm.. its a drone instrument, and would go VERY well with the ethnic stuff.. OH GOD I LOVE THIS!! ^^
Btw, my hasn't been signed to any company.. this is all being done independently. Which is cool in a way ^^
If anyone has anything they'd like to ask, contribute or the like.. please just drop me a line here on devART or at my e-mail addy: killabeanz@hotmail.com

I haven't said everything I'd have liked to, but quartet practice is on in 20 mins.. :| CIAO!

My Putey Cracked A Shit..

Mon May 24, 2004, 4:57 AM
Sorry everyone for the severe lack of Deviations.. my computer recently blew up on me, about 3 weeks ago.. lost EVERY thing..argh, I hate PC's they're sooo shit... mur =( But anyway, apparently our new PC (2.8 Ghz HT SHAWWWIIINNNNGG!!) So thats always a plus, new stuff is cool. Sadly I'll have to rebuild my extensive music collection which I've been building on my computer for about 5 years now... *mega big fucking sigh* I try not to be tooooooooo materialistic about computerey stuff, but I still had a big sook about it =( I mean, 5 YEARS PEOPLE.. argh.. I never backed up any of my art, programs or music neither.. so.. yeah, everything from scratch basically.

Mmm.. well, thats my bitch and a half.. so yeah, no art for a little while longer to anyone who might actually visit this site at all.

And hey.. I'd reaaaaaally appreciate it if people could help me getting stuff back on there.. I don't have a broadband connection, so I'll never be able to restore it properly in a short amount of time. If anyone has brushes, MP3's, proggy's.. and your feeling charitable.. please..

...donate to the Baydz fund. You know you want to ;)
